Four workshops, none of them ours.

We do not own a kiln. We work with four family studios who have been at it far longer than we have — two in Portugal, one in Galicia, one in the Basque country — and we pay them before the pieces sell, not after.

Twice a year we go and stay for a week. That is where the next season gets decided, usually over lunch, usually by someone who has been throwing pots since before we were born.

Small runs, on purpose

Between 60 and 200 of each piece. When a run sells out we wait for the next firing rather than rushing another.

Repaired, not replaced

Chipped a lid? Send it back. We repair or replace the single part, for as long as we make the piece.

Packed without plastic

Moulded paper pulp, paper tape and a box you can put straight in the recycling.
